About the Project

The Nova Scotia Youth Poll (NSYP) was a Springtide project about better understanding the voting behaviour and political opinions of young, voting-aged Nova Scotians. In the year it was published, political polling companies were still primarily surveying Nova Scotians through landline telephone interviews, or in online panels. Results often failed to represent young adults without landlines.  The NSYP used face-to-face interviews to reach nearly 700 Nova Scotians between 18 – 30 years of age.
